Hilary Duff gets engaged to Mike Comrie

Edmonton Oilers centre Mike Comrie is now engaged to American entertainer Hilary Duff.Mike Comrie proposed to the 22-year-old singer and actress while they were enjoying a romantic holiday in Hawaii last week. Hilary “happily accepted” and the pair are now planning a wedding later this year.
Hilary started dating Mike, 29, in 2007. They have been inseparable ever since, with Hilary attending almost every hockey game Mike plays in, while he accompanies her to film premieres and press conferences.
Their engagement does not come as a complete surprise. Paparazzi images taken yesterday morning appeared to show Mike down on one knee presenting a tiny box to Hilary in their lavish Hawaiian hotel room. At the time the photographs were taken, both Hilary and Mike refused to comment.
